I got this email today and this picture of these purple irises was attached:There comes a point in your life when you realize:
Who matters,
Who never did,
Who won't anymore...
And who always will.
So, don't worry about people from your past,
there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
I found it very interesting because I feel like this is what I've practiced all my life. Maybe not all my life but I have been practicing it for a while. I've been told that I "get rid" of people easily and it's not really true. I think I realize early on "Who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will".
I have a friend who became a mother last year. I told her I did not want to loose touch with her because of the baby and she assured me that we weren't going to. Needless to say that it's happening right now. I don't blame her, I mean, motherhood must be tough. But still, I just don't see how someone doesn't have time to pick up the phone and make a quick call. Anyway, But I won't file her away, she matters and she always will. It's just that right now I don't matter to her, baby does.
